Design enhancements solve catering location issues
There have been numerous design enhancements made to catering units (both mobile and kiosk) over the last few years as a result of operational requirements and technological and developments.
Saving space
With the move to more mobile / transient catering units within specific retail locations overall size including the tow bar will have an impact on the pitch location. The folding tow bar developed by AJC Retail in partnership with Alko is a simple but highly effective solution. Once the mobile unit has been driven / towed to the location and located in its pitch the tow bar can be folded creating a saving of over 1.2metres.
So if you have a small catering pitch that you wish to occupy then with AJC you can potentially get up to 30% extra useful catering space (which you can use for preparation / serving / storage) as opposed to using for your towbar.
Optimum hatch position
Modern materials provide many advantages. Only AJC Retail use five element 36mm panels which are incredibly strong. The advantage of these panels is that serving / opening hatches can essentially be located wherever you want within the unit to provide an optimum hatch location in terms of both size and number

Improving security
Theft, break ins are an issue irrespective of whether a unit is inside (e.g. shopping centre / railway station / garden centre) or outside on the street or within a park. Through its work within the construction sector in developing welfare cabins that are used in remote locations and which contain high value equipment AJC have developed a number of security enhancements. Challenging environments
O rated panels for fire proof kiosks to be used in railways for example.
Where access is limited kiosks can be pre manufactured and then assembled on site. In mall build i.e. shopping centres where Satellite Retail Units are required often access space is limited. AJC Retail have developed an innovative approach for installing kiosk’s where space is limited. AJC have previously installed a 2m x 2.5m kiosk’s where access was only available through a standard size set of double doors
